First of all, for clarification purposes – Pat is not ACTUALLY my favorite person on Tv right now, just my favorite person to watch and have a good laugh!
Things around here have and will be a little stressful over the next few weeks.
Joey is having surgery this Thursday the 29th. He tells me not to worry, but I do. He is my husband, my best friend, and my baby’s daddy & I need him to be okay. Hopefully this surgery will help his back tremendously & he will be back to normal soon.
Today Joey is taking his administration test. It is a day long test. I know he will do just fine, but he is under so much pressure to pass. I don’t know if he is more worried about the actual test or sitting for 8 hours.
We found out this week that Joey’s Mom is having some major health problems. We don’t know a lot about it right now, there is still a lot of testing being done. PLEASE just keep her & the family in your thoughts and prayers.
In good news::
My mom is recovering well from her knee replacement surgery!!!
Jaxon is the light of my life. His laugh is so contagious & just makes my heart smile & my spirit lighter!
Work is going really well. It is so different for me to be so busy, but I know that being productive will be good for my family.
This is the first weekend in a while, that I haven’t had something pressing to do. I am so looking forward to it!!
I hate that I haven’t had as much time to read all my fav blogs. Hopefully this weekend, I can spend some time at the computer!

I’m sorry it’s been so long since I’ve updated. Since I got home late Thursday night, I’ve been dedicating most all my time to my family. I can’t believe how much I missed them, but I also can’t believe how much I enjoyed my “alone time”. I don’t know who was more excited when I got home… Me, Jaxon or Joey! It was a great reunion!
Today I started working at my own bank branch! I have my own desk & I feel so official! I already have 3 appointments scheduled for tomorrow. If you need a mortgage, refinance or a Home equity loan…let me know!!! Ha!
My mom had knee replacement surgery today.. my dad called a little while ago & she is doing fine.
Joey’s Aunt Dorothy died on Friday. He and Jaxon went to the funeral today. I was unable to make it because of work, but I’m so glad Joey went.
I made this new recipe last night. It was soo good!
Joey and I are teaching 2 year olds at Church. Very interesting. Yesterday was quite the challenge. We had 7 just-turned-2-year-olds between the 2 of us! FUN!
I really want to go on a date this weekend. I miss getting to go out with Joey whenever we want.
I miss my sister – LA is toooo far!

I’m sitting in training right now. My day here is almost done. I may be a nerd, but I am actually enjoying this training! Intrest rates, products, software…all about being a loan officer, is what we’ve been learning. JPMOrgan Chase is an amazing company. I am really impressed with the facility here and pretty much the company as a whole.
Ok, so on to more interesting stuff. I’ve talked to Joey and to Jaxon SEVERAL times & they seem to be doing ok with out me. I miss them so much. I am however enjoying the little luxuries of staying in a hotel. Yesterday I had breakfast delivered to my room. I ate watching the Today show instead of Noggin (although if the hotel had noggin, I probably would have watched it instead!). Last night I went out to dinner with two of the girls. We went to “The Melting Pot” – a fondue restaurant. It was so good & a fun experience!!
Well…unfortunately I have to go for now. I miss getting to read all my daily blogs – I hope you are all doing ok & having a good week!
Oh yeah, Joey got his MRI results and it looks like surgery….
I’m sad. I’m about to leave my boys for Dallas. I won’t be home until late Thursday night.

Where do I begin…
Wednesday Jaxon got hurt while at Mrs. Ruthann’s house. He was riding down the big slide with her teenage son & the rubber on his sandal got stuck on the slide & bent his foot/ankle backward while they continued sliding. My poor baby is ok now, but still swollen & red. Joey took him to the dr. and they took some x-ray’s. She was afraid of a hairline fracture. He screams when he puts pressure on it. It’s sad, but the good news is that last night he was starting to put some pressure on it…so I think all is well!!
Joey went to the Dr. yesterday for his back. No real news. They are ordering a MRI, so we’ll go from there. He did get some meds that should help in the meantime.
I’m leaving on Sunday for Dallas for 5 days. I’m going for training for JPMorgan Chase. Joey is going to be taking care of Jaxon. Jax will go to his scheduled child care during the days & be with his wonderful daddy during the evening. I know they will be just fine…but PLEASE keep them in your prayers. If Joey’s back wasn’t hurt, I wouldn’t worry at all, BUT…I’m a worrier!
I have spent the night away from Jaxon once, but Joey and I were together. This will be very different and a little hard for me to be away from both my boys. On the other hand, I will be in classes during the day so that won’t be SO FUN, but I am looking forward to a little break in the evenings!
