I am aware that my blogging has taken a backseat to my life lately. I won’t go in to how busy I am, because let’s face it, that’s kind of boring! Here are some random tidbits to fill you in!

*We went to the petstore last week. Jaxon was crazy about the place. I am not a big pet person. I loved our Pudge, who sadly went to doggie heaven last march, but now that he’s gone, I don’t know that I’m ready for a new pet. Joey thinks Jaxon needs a dog & Jaxon loves puppies!! So, back to the story…we went to the petstore & discovered that I am afraid of hampsters, gerbils, rats, and the like. SERIOUSLY…I have issues. I know God made these creatures just like he made us, but are they really meant to be pets??? NOT for our family!

*I have the most amazing husband. I really love him. I love how he loves me. I love how he loves Jaxon. He is good to us. I want him around me forever.

*I like my dentist. I went to see him today for THREE fillings. Then, unexpectedly, I had to have a partial onlay because of a hole in my tooth! Fun stuff! He was saying that no-one likes the dentist. I like him, just not what he did to my mouth!

*My sister was in a wreck today in LA. Poor little Stacey… She’s Ok, just shook up & carless!

*Jaxon used to say “da-da”, but now it’s either “ga-ga” or “ba-ba” we’re not sure, but it’s fun trying to figure it out!

*We have a big kid. At his 15 month appt, he weighed 25 lbs and was 32″ tall. He’s pretty much a tank!

*We went to a beautiful wedding Saturday night. Nate & Candiss are two of the most beautiful people. There’s no doubt that they will have beautiful children. The wedding was great & was the reception. Jaxon was mesmerized by the band. Jax & I had fun dancing.

*Joey and I are trying Weight Watchers. It is hard.

*I love MAC!

*The best thing about summer to me is all the fresh fruit. YUMMY!!

*I know there is more that I was thinking about earlier today, but now it’s almost 9:00 and my brain is fried!

I am the proud owner of a new 06′ G6!! It my first new car – ever!! I love it! Joey brought it home Monday night!!!

Thing are going well around here. Work is incredibly busy, which is good for me!!

Joey is continuing to feel better each day! Jaxon is a mess, and so funny!

Although I REALLY like squarespace, I just do not need another bill every month. No, it is not a free site, like blogger. Oh well! I really like blogger, I just have picutres issues. As you can see, I’ve given my site a makeover… an extreme makeover if you will! I really like it & hope you do too! I have also re-named my blog to Happy Chaos. That pretty much sums up my life. Yes, I am still Jax’s mom and will be for as long as I live!!

I am falling asleep right now, as I have spent the whole evening re-vamping my blog! I will post again tomorrow with substance! Hope you’re having a good weekend!

Tonight Joey took us on a family date. It was great! He planned for us to eat at Ted’s (our favorite mexican restaurant) and then to go see Cars! When we picked Jaxon up, he was sooo dirty and we didn’t have a sippy cup with us. So, being the somewhat yuppie parents that we are, we made a trip to Target first. Jaxon got a few new outfits (so stinkin cute, we couldn’t choose just one!), sippy cups & paci’s! Today is Jaxon’s 15 month birthday… Once we were in the car, I changed Jaxon & we headed to eat. We’d spent too much time at Target to eat at Ted’s, so we settled for Braums. It was ok, but sooo not Ted’s. We made it to the movie on time & it was worth the dinner sacrifice to see Jaxon’s face when the movie started. He was SUPER excited! He was bouncing up & down & shaking his head, clapping, oohing & aahing! It was great! I’ll never forget tonight – the first time Jaxon went to the movie theater! Thank you Joey for such a fun date night (even if Jax did sleep through half of the movie!)

today jaxon tried chopsticks for the first time. we ordered pei-wei takeout for lunch & it was very yummy! the chopsticks from there are stuck together, so it didn’t take too much coordination. needless to say, there was more rice on the floor than in his mouth. he had fun and that is the most important part


for dinner we made our favorite cornbread salad. sooo yummy!! jaxon really enjoys watching me cook. he’s even starting to help out, especially when there’s cheese involved!

i also made a roasted chicken for dinner tomorrow night. i haven’t tasted it yet, but it looks oh so good!

Jax & I were in the Edmond parade today. We rode on the Chase float. Jaxon had a good time! Joey got out of the house for the first time today. He did pretty well, even if it only lasted about 30 minutes! Well… it’s back to work bright & early in the morning! Hopefully blogger will cooperate with me tomorrow!

First of all… Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers over the past few days/weeks. We appreciate it so much!! Don’t stop yet!!! We still have 6 long weeks of recovery. Joey is doing well. He can move his feet again & he is about 3″ taller!! The pain from before surgery is gone & currently he feels like he’s been hit by a car! I am VERY proud of him. The hardest part is that he cannot lift ANYTHING over “a gallon of milk, for six weeks” – per the Dr. That definately includes our 23lb. Jaxon!!! Jax dosen’t undersand why daddy won’t pick him up. I’m sure by the end we will find creative ways for them to play!

Let me be the first to say that I wouldn’t change being a wife or mother for ANYTHING in the world. However, I’m sure there have been times when you’ve all felt like I’ve felt today…
