"Suzanne Needs"
Megan had a fun post on her blog today! You should go check it out, it’s pretty funny!
Here are my top 10 “needs” according to google:
1) Suzanne needs to get dressed.
2) Suzanne needs her own ipod. (I have my own already!)
3) Suzanne needs the sun.
4) Suzanne needs to be able to allow Referral Officers to assign applications to new SEPS. (WHAT?)
5) Suzanne needs a babysitter to transport her kids from Portland to Vancouver.
6) Suzanne needs all the help she can get NOW!
7) Suzanne needs to start giving us quality.
Suzanne needs you healthy.
9) Suzanne needs a reality check.
10)Suzanne needs to accept personal accountability for her errors.
Apparently I need help!! So, what are your needs?
Little Balla
For those of you that don’t follow college basketball like our family…let me introduce you to the vocabulary of Dickie V. A diaper dandie is a freshman in college who happens to be better than the rest of the freshman that year.
Enjoy the video! You’ll have to turn your head or your computer…I shot the video vertically with my digital camera!
Curious
I have always been VERY curious about what people eat. I love to cook, always have, always will. I began cooking when I was about 10 years old. Anytime I was away from my family (like at camp for two weeks in the summer), I wanted to know exactly what they had for dinner each night & I couldn’t wait to tell them all about what we’d eaten that week, and if it was good or not(it was usually VERY good, especially the year I cooked!).
For a while now, I’ve been wondering what you eat! What do other normal, working, growing families eat for dinner? Please indulge me on this & let me know what you’ve made (or bought) for dinner this week.
I’ve found a few new recipe sites in the past few weeks! Also, my friend Amber started a recipe swap blog that has really taken off. You should check it out! All the links are now on my sidebar. I hope you find at least one new recipe!
This week dinner has been a little weird for us. When you have one or two in the family that have queasy tummies, you have to take it easy! Because you are going to share….I’ll share too!
Sunday Night…We ate at Earl’s, our favorite BBQ restaurant
Monday Night…We had roast, carrots & potatoes…cooked in the crockpot…YUMMY
Tuesday Night…Jaxon had some carrots & ranch dip, yogurt & pb&j, I had a bowl of honey nut corn flakes & Joey did not eat
Wednesday Night…We had honey nut chicken strips, carrot/celery sticks & mac&cheese
Tonight…Joey had a frozen pizza(quickly before a board meeting) & I’m making salmon patties (since Joey will not be home…he hates them)
So….tell me what have you eaten this week???
NO more sanjaya
**UPDATE** I am sitting here watching Sanjaya singing his last song!!!!!!! Did he really change the words to “something to talk about, other than HAIR”! I’m over it…now the competition will be serious!**
Ok, I can’t believe I’m admitting this in writing, but I DVR & watch American Idol every Tues & Wed. I really hope that America finally realizes that Sanjaya is HORRIBLE! I really hope he goes tonight!
Just my thougts while I sit here at work!
3X…NOT a charm
The virus has made it’s rounds. Joey began feeling sick last night & has been in bed and making periodic visits to the porcelain throne. Tonight after dinner, Jax who has been normal for two days now, puked all over the carpet! Excellent!!! Please pray to make it go away!!
It's Over
My four day stint as a single parent is over. I am very thankful and impressed that Jaxon was so good. We didn’t have any power struggles at all!! We did however have a day filled with vomit. Gross I know, but so true! The total tally was 13 times. I didn’t know there was that much liquid in such a little body. Thankfully (I PRAY) it’s over. Joey is home and Jax is in bed sound asleep!
Thank you lord for getting me through this rough week!

Jaxon is 2
Today is Jaxon’s birthday! I am happy and I am sad because it just goes by so fast! Jax woke up very loving & cuddly this morning!
We celebrated Tuesday night because Joey had to leave for Abilene today. Here are some pics from last night::
Fun times!! Tonight I did something I said I’d never do. I took him to the play area at the mall. He loved it! Of course, we did have to come home & immeditely get in the bathtub!
I love you my sweet boy!
Our Little Mohawkin'
do you get my pun?
First….the hair pics…
Before
During
After(this is the only dressed up Easter pic we got!)
his hair is so light it’s a little hard to see. Of course, it’s not drastic, but it sure is fun! He likes to spike it!
I was thankfully feeling better yesterday & was able to go to church. It was cold, but we managed just fine…just a few wardrobe modifications!
Jax had fun with his basket from the E Bunny! I’d been telling him that he Easter Bunny was going to come visit & that he brought goodies like Santa brings. Yesterday morning I asked him if he was ready to go see what the Easter Bunny brought he said “ho,ho, ho”. I think I’ve royally confused my kid. He’ll probably be saying “hop, hop, hop” on Christmas morning!
he dosen’t care who brought it….
This is what happens when you leave a two year old alone with a basket full of crazy plastic grass! It was all over the place…at least it was easy to clean up.
My parent’s came yesterday to take us out for a yummy Easter lunch & to visit Jax for his b-day! He got a cool tricycle, an Elmo bubble blower, some playdoh & his FAVORITE……a $2.00 “Choo-Choo ook”! He has not put that book down, he has even slept with that book. It looks like we’ve had it for a year!
Where’s Jaxon?
I think he gets (and really likes) this drawn out birthday celebration. When I gave him this cupcake yesterday, I had just lit the candle and he said “birthday to you” and blew the candle out.
I think this was one of my longest “all about Jaxon” posts! If you made it this far, thanks for indulging me! I’m having a hard time with him turning 2 this week…..
tidbits
Well, we ended up having to cancel Jaxon’s birthday party for today. I’ve spent the last two days in bed & on the couch. I’ve had a little bug. The not so fun kind of bug. I’m finally starting to feel better, but not back to normal. I haven’t eaten in two days. Hopefully I’ll feel like eating a good lunch tomorrow(and be able to keep it down)! My parents are coming to take us out for lunch!
Obviously, Jaxon didn’t realize that he was missing out on anything today! He wanted to play with his “choo choo”, so I put it together for him & then he proceeded to empty the toy chest!
Tonight Joey gave Jax a haircut…it’s a version of a mohawk! I’ll post some pics tomorrow!
Last weekend we went to see Joey’s parents. We’d just received close to 4″ of rain. Of course we had to get some rain boots to splash around in! Jax had so much fun playing in the puddles!
Splashin’ with Paw-Paw
Watching the fish with Nannie
On Sunday we went to see La La(Elmo) at Sesame Street Live! Jax was pretty laid back for most of the show (like it was a movie), then he started to scream at Elmo! He had a good time!
That’s all the updating I have for now! I’ll be back tomorrow with Easter pictures!
