Yesterday morning at work, I went to visit in the office next to me where two male co-workers were visiting. They had some extra breakfast sandwiches leftover from a meeting they had just finished. I was offered one and thought I’d tear off a little piece & then go back to work. One of the boys said “I wouldn’t eat that if I were you”. I said “why did it hurt your tummy”, he said “no, you are just starting to look thin and you shouldn’t eat that, it’s not healthy”. I took it as a compliment, I mean I am starting to lose some much needed weight and people are beginning to ask me about it. When I told Joey and another friend about it, they both said it was a little offensive because he had no right to tell me what to eat or not to eat. I guess you’d have to know this person. He is not always politically correct…AT ALL, so I just took it as a compliment. What do you think? How would you take a comment like that? Just curious!

I really don’t get into the celebrity scene too much….until now. OK, seriously…he is beautiful, my husband is well aware. We are both a little mesmerized by the Beckham’s. It seems as though he is a just a generally good guy, happy with his wife & 3 children, and of course a great soccer player! I’m looking forward to the next five years! We are planning to catch a game in Kansas City or Dallas. They are actually playing in Dallas on Tuesday the 31st, we looked into going, but we’d have to take time off work that isn’t available right now. We will definately be watching more soccer at our house!

I’ve really been wanting to post all week, but I haven’t come up with anything to write about. So…I’ll just have a random post!

Jaxon said his first full sentence the other night. To his fruit snacks…”I’m gonna eat you spider man”…”CHOOMMMPPPHHH”.at least he gave Spidey fair warning….love it!

I am off work tomorrow!!! And next Thursday & Friday for the much anticipated girls weekend! That’s right, no husbands, no kids, just girls for two days…..3 months in the making…so exicted!

I have lost 4 pounds. I hope they don’t come back!

I’ve been reading a lot lately…I like reading, it’s way better than tv!

I want to go see my sister in LA. I think I will this fall.

This boy makes me laugh every day

It seems like everyone I know is having babies or will soon! My BF Renee gave birth to Hasten Paul 1 week ago today. He is beautiful!! My other good friend Melody found out today she’s having a girl in December! A friend at work is due any day now and there were at least 4 couples from our church that had babies last week!

Work has been good lately. Still very busy, but productive. It is starting to pay off! I just pray it keeps up!

School starts in less than a month. Joey has to go back full time next week. What a short summer!

I think that’s enough random info for now! Hopefully I’ll have something fun to post about this weekend!

Saturday was wonderful! I ended up doing a few things on the list. I cleaned house, started my new book (and finished it on Tuesday!) & we went swimming. So, I didn’t get much crossed off my list, but I didn’t really want to! I don’t think I’ll be so lucky this weekend. I have to go in to work for a hour or so on Saturday. Then I have to do many of the things that were on my list for last weekend!

I was trying to make blue icing. Green & Red made brown tonight…so I added more red & ended up with pink! I had some sprinkles leftover from Easter….so there you go!

I love how my boy likes to help me in the kitchen! It makes me smile.

Here is a picture of a girl who woke up at 6:30 on a Saturday morning with nothing to do….and that feeling was AMAZING!

This is the first Saturday, or weekend for that matter that we have had no plans of any kind! It’s pretty refreshing, I must admit! Right now I am sitting on the couch & Jax is playing on the floor, we are listening to the Corinne Bailey Rae cd. Joey had to go up to the school for a while to get some things done before a big meeting on Monday. So, that leaves me with an abundance of ideas for the day. We could….

~clean house
~finish painting woodwork
~read the book joey bought me this week, the pact by jodi picoult
~go to the zoo
~go to the library
~i could start the altered notebook I’ve been wanting to make for about 4 months
~go swimming, since it’s not supposed to rain today
~go to the grocery store
~order some appraisals for work(this unfortunately is a must)
~watch a movie on the couch
~go to the park
~take a nap
~clean my closet
~clean the garage
~potty train jaxon
~order prints to frame
~get my eyebrows waxed (also a must)
~make something yummy and healthy for dinner
~write some notes to mail
~clean out & wipe down the refrigerator
~go on a date with my husband

The list could go on & on, but I just realized I’ve been thinking about this post for about 30 minutes now & I am wasting my day away~ I know whatever we decide to do, it will be great because we are together (Cheesy, I know)!!

We’ve had a fun day. This morning we went to see Ratatouille! It was very good, we all really enjoyed it!

After the movie, we went over to the Whitesell’s house for lunch & swimming. Because of the non-stop rain in Oklahoma, today was the first time this summer that Jaxon has been swimming. He had a BLAST! He has no fear & loves the water! Joey caught some really cute pictures of us in the pool…here’s one for you! I was a bad mommy & didn’t catch any of Jax and Joe in the water…maybe next time! Jax was slathered up with sunscreen, but Joey and I both got a little sun…it’s kinda nice. It was a blessing to see the sun out today!

We may be kind of boring, but I don’t think we’ll be going out for fireworks tonight! I have to work early in the morning & it’s such a hassle to get home afterwards! I know we will hear them though!

There are still a few improvements to be made. I want to paint the walls in my kitchen a fun color! We are enjoying the wood floors. They show everything, but are so much easier to keep clean as well! It makes me realize how gross our carpet must have been! Joey has done an amazing job!
