D is for determination.

This is my sleeping boy.
This was taken tonight after a battle with his daddy. You see, tonight was the second night of the marriage seminar at our church. Joe and I had decided that I would go and he would stay home with Jax. We didn’t think it was good for him to have been at childcare all day and then to drop him off for another two hours. So, at dinner I told Jaxon that he had to take ONE bite of everything on his plate. Well, long story short…2 hours later he got down from the table. He and Joey were both determined but with opposite goals. I’m sorry but glad that I wasn’t here! Thank you to my hubby for sticking it out. If you were at the seminar tonight, they talked about three different types of babies…mine is definitely the third type!!!

C is for Chocolate Milk.

Jaxon has a love for chocolate milk like I have not seen before. When I was pregnant with him, I drank a lot of chocolate milk so I guess it’s just passed down from me.
Yesterday morning Jax made up a song about chocolate milk. I’ve tried to get it on tape but have not succeeded yet. For now I’ll leave you with the lyrics. I’m pretty impressed with the songwriting skills of a 2 year old!

“Choc-o-late miiillkkkk, Choc-o-late miillkkk, Choc-O-late Millkk is yummy” then I added in harmony “yummy, yummy, yummy. yummy in my tummy….CHOCOLATE MILK!”

B is for Booty Kicking (picture to come)

Today was the first day of Boot Camp with Elizabeth. I am really excited about getting back in shape, but today killed me. I am so not in shape at all. I am bound and determined to get there though! I have started a new blog about my weight loss journey…you can find it HERE, but it is private. If you’d like to follow along with me (I could use some encouragement) just send me a quick email (my email address is in my profile).

Have a great Tuesday!

I'm a happy girl

This picture was taken after my One hour massage and wonderful Mani/Pedi. On Saturday I visited the Bello Nail & Spa to get my eyebrows waxed. I brought home a little brochure of their services and left it on the entry table. Joey called yesterday on his own to schedule this for me. He’s too good to me! It’s amazing how much better my upper back and shoulders feel! Needless to say, I was pretty tense! When I got home tonight Joey had my favorite Hideaway Pizza for me! He really is the best!
And for those of you in our area… I totally recommend Bello!

Happy Heart Day

Tonight as Jax and I were making his valentines for tomorrow we got into a heart sticker war.

And in true Jaxon style….a closed eye picture!

Speaking of hearts…My mom is in the hospital right now, so please keep her in your prayers.

On a lighter note…Joey told me tonight that I have an appointment at 5:00 tomorrow at the spa. I am getting a massage & mani/pedi! He’s the best!!!!! And holy cow, how I need it!! Thanks honey!

Happy V day to all of you!

Cool Cards

Around Christmas I discovered and fell in love with Etsy. For those of you who are unaware, Etsy is a place where people sell their homemade goods! Check it out! I got some really cool gifts from several different people, including an awesome handmade Batman Cape for my boy! I Love Etsy and I wish I was cool enough to have an Etsy store of my own!

My friend Tracy now has her own Etsy Store where she has some ADORABLE handmade cards! She is very creative! So…if you are in need of some unique cards go check her out. They are cheaper than hallmark and oh so cute!

It's the little things….

The past few weeks at work have been extremely crazy. As most of you know, I am in the mortgage business and if you watch the news at all, you know that the market is crazy right now, so in turn, I’ve been swamped! I’ve been working daily (including the weekend) and almost each evening. I’M EXHAUSTED! I think I’m finally getting a little caught up, but I’m feeling like I need to take some time for myself…and I hope to this weekend!
Today when I got home I had a few surprises!!!! It was REALLY nice to come home to a few simple surprises!

I ordered all of this from Eyes Lips Face and…I only paid $25.00 for all of it & I got a free subscription to Working Mother Magazine. I just went there to look again, and now if you spend $20.00 you get a free subscription to Lucky Magazine. All of the brushes on the left come as a set for $12.00! I can’t wait to do my makeup tomorrow! *ELF is a great little site for makeup extras…I am a makeup snob when it comes to my skin and I only use Bare Minerals, But for the fun stuff, I don’t really care!*

Speaking of magazines…. I also got this in the mail today. I bought a few of these issues at the store and decided that I wanted to subscribe. It’s a great little magazine!

I am currently getting subscriptions from::
Rachel Ray Magazine
Hallmark Magazine
Redbook
Mortgage Originator Magazine (I know you’re jealous of this one!)
Self
Working Mother
Family Fun Magazin
I buy but have not renewed:
Real Simple

I’m kind of addicted to magazines….the funny thing is I really don’t have time to read them!

So, tell me, what are your favorite magazines and what do you subscribe to. Surely someone can beat me…anyone read more than 8 magazines a month?
