Random Catch Up Post

So, I know I’ve been pretty absent from blogging, forgive me, it’s been crazy! So, I thought I’d at least do a little updating.

First of all, I took Jaxon to see Dr. Wright(the eye Dr. I used to work for) a few weeks ago (it was actually on my B-day). He’d been complaining that his eyes hurt. It concerned me a little, and because I worked in the field I will never be too careful when it comes to eyes. Well, he is fine as I imagined he would be. He did dilate Jaxon’s eye’s and that was an experience. Jaxon has a little hyperopia (farsighted) but does not need any correction at this time. The pain he was feeling is because he is having to focus so hard when looking closely at something. And because I’m “that mom” that makes her child pose for the camera at any given time, I have pictures::

Here he is waiting for Dr. Wright to come in

“Taking a nap”

Those are some sweet dilation glasses

Speaking of glasses, while we were there I picked out and treated myself to a new pair. I can’t wait to get them. I actually went again today to approve the color! I’ll be sure to post a pic when I get them!

Me & Jax on my B-day

Best Friends
Jaxon wore his “batman suit”(pajamas) that day. When I picked them up we were heading to Mardel (they have renamed the store the “pirate store” because they carry the veggie tales pirates) and Jaxon needed to change clothes. He chose Ms. Ruthann’s loaner shirt over the shirt I brought for him. I have to remind myself to pick my battles, so the loaner shirt it was!

Birthday Dinner at The Melting Pot

Birthday lunch in Chickasha at Edwardo’s
We go there every year around birthday week for a little fiesta. They used to have a big sombrero hat and I was really sad to find out that they no longer have the hat nor do they sing. What is wrong with these people?

That gets you pretty caught up. My baby will be 3 on Friday – so we’ll have B-day posts coming up! Hope you’re having a good week

Itsy Bitsy Yoga

I saw this book a while ago and have been wanting to check it out. You may remember from a while back that Jaxon loves to “work out”. My boy has a LOT of energy & I understand that having something physical to focus it on sometimes helps, so I thought maybe something like this would be good for now! Becki at BlogMommas is giving a copy away! Either way, I’ll probably get the book & try it out. Any other ideas for how to channel 3year old (almost) energy are welcome!
