Fred came back

Last year Santa sent the boys a package from the north pole. He sent our very own elf (on the shelf). Jax got to name him. His name is Fred. Jax has talked about him over the year. He was Soo happy to see that he came back this year!
Fred brought us a north pole breakfast! Complete with snowball donuts, new Christmas plates and cups and a few treats, it was a fun morning!!

Joey and I have never been big on celebrating Valentines day… but I DO think it’s a fun little holiday.  It’s so fun to make it a special day for Jaxon too!

I saw a fun tutorial the other day from Jen @ Tatertots & Jello and HAD to make them.  Of course, mine are a little different … I LOVE how they turned out!

Here is an up close of the heart:

I also fell in LOVE with this wreath from Linda @ Craftaholics Anonymous ….

I had some leftover burlap from making this banner a few months ago:

I made it for the season opener… my precious banner did NOT prove to be good luck for the sooners this year :) …. Oh well, at least it’s cute!

Anyhow, I decided to make a burlap heart wreath::

I wanted a little red on it since my door is BLAH white… I wanted it to stand out a little more!  I may make a trip to hob lob tomorrow and change it up a bit… I have another idea for it… I’ll let you know if I change it!

So… are you decorating for Valentines?

3 days are the best!

I really love 3 day weekends!

We had a great weekend.  It was a balanced combo of work, rest, and play!

Saturday night we had the Hall’s over for dinner.  Amy is my oldest (since 4th grade) friend.  We had a fun time catching up!

Sunday after church, we came home for lunch and all kind of did our own thing.  Jax and I ended up going out for a while.

Today we were able to take advantage of the beautiful weather and we went out for a family picnic at the park.  It was so fun to take Tucker and to run around with him and Jaxon.

I also worked on a few projects!  I will show you the finished products this week!

The first one is this::

I’ll post the story and pictures sometime tomorrow!  Stay Tuned!

Once Upon a time…

Every year at Halloween time we go to the story book forest with the Whitesell’s (aka Mimi & Pops). This year was no different. We always go to McD’s before for a super healthy dinner. Next stop is lake Arcadia’s Story Book Forest.
I’ll let the pictures tell the rest of the story!

Tracy & I

This afternoon I am starting my journey to being organized~
I’m starting with the craft/linen closet in the hall. A few months back, I had to remove some of the storage that was in there and it just went downhill from there. I know this picture is pretty scary, I’m about half way done with it and it is going to look so good!

I will post a picture of the finished product tonight!!
I’m taking a little break while Jaxon is napping…I don’t want him to wake up! I’m off to read a little while it is quiet around here!!

Enjoy your day!
