Jaxon was SO excited… of course he had no clue either! It was so fun to watch him.
This picture of me is actually a re-enactment – the first time, there was not a card in my camera!

Thank you all so much for making my 30th so special and memorable. Joey, thank you for planning this for me… I was truly surprised!!
Unplugged…
First of all, Thank you ALL so much for all the sweet birthday messages… I received LOTS of text messages, facebook messages, comments on here, cards and even a few sweet gifts! I feel very blessed and loved. Thank you!
So, if you’ve followed me for a while, you know that I used to be a GREAT blogger…. I posted almost every day and had good content. Then life really started happening for me! I love this place we call blogland, but sometimes I get very wrapped up in my computer time. Even though I haven’t been posting regularly, I find myself going through my google reader, wasting a LOT of precious time that I could be spending with my family.
Today is a great day to unplug. Please click on the box to learn more!!!
I’m going to take this even a step further… Back in January, we went to Westside CofC in Norman where my brother in law is the preacher. It was a great sermon that has really stuck in my mind. I never posted about it… but it has a lot to do with why I haven’t been as present in blogland.
The main question was:: What is the best use of your time in regards to your family?
Ephesians 5:15-16::
15 So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. 16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.
Here are the five facts he presented that really got me thinking… (this is really more for me, as a reminder… you may balance things in your life better than I do. Being a working mom, I need all the help I can get. I cannot seem to be able to fit it all in.. I just need to look at doing some adjustments!) This lesson is in regards to things that we are or are not doing to build our relationship with God and our families.
#1 There is a cumulative value to investing small amounts of time in one certain area over an extended period of time. (5 minutes a day = reading all of Psalm, Proverbs & the New Testament in ONE year)
#2 Neglect also has a cumulative effect. (this one got me – not that I mean to neglect, but sometimes other things get in the way)
#3 There are rarely any immediate consequences for neglecting single installments of time in any area of life (this is where we get deceived)
#4 There is no cumulative value to the urgent things we allow to interfere with whats most important (what do I/You do instead)
#5 In the critical areas of life you cannot make up for lost time (is my family stronger now than it was a week, month or year ago?)
10 minutes a day (studying God’s word with my family OR something else…)
x365 x 18 years (the time I have with my child)
————————————
65,700 minutes!
I sincerely hope you were able to take something from this. I know I did…. Thank you Phillip!!
Have a WONDERFUL weekend…. I’ll be back on Monday!

A Homemade birthday
Today is Joey’s 32nd birthday. This morning Jaxon asked if we were going to have a party for daddy. I said, yes of course. He said we needed cake and candles. So, tonight we made him a cake, Jax placed the candles on. We had balloons and homemade party hats! It’s the simple times that make me smile the most. I love you Joey and am so thankful for you! Happy 32nd!! Love.. Suzy and Jax
I love how Jax is eyeing the cake here…. as you can tell from his mouth, he had a few tastes while putting the candles on!
Dizzy…
Dizzy, I’m so dizzy my head is spinning
Like a whirlpool it never ends….. (I know you’re singing it now)!!!
Yesterday morning I woke up, stood up and took my first steps. THANK GOODNESS the bed was right there. I twisted right around and against the footboard. I’m not sure how I made it from the bed to the couch! Joey was already gone for the day so it was just Jax and I. I have never been SO dizzy in my life. EVER. It’s been a crazy past two days. Thankfully Jax was there bless his heart. He had to bring me the trash can so I could save the blanket on the couch. He also brought me a washcloth! I love him!!
Dr. Zann (as Jaxon calls him) got me fixed up! And Joey(THANKFULLY) came home to take care of the boy! Poor kid, was a wee bit neglected – I knew that the noggin and disney online games would come in handy some day! Shortly after, I was knocked out and sleeping peacefully. I planned on doing a menu plan monday post…but I haven’t cooked in two days! ha! The silver lining is that I was able to get some rest – although not the way I would have planned it!
And because posts without pics are just not cool:: Here is Jaxon holding baby Cooper Keith Hall - born to my oldest and bestest (yes that is a word) friend, Amy (and Jacob) last week!
So precious!!!
Oh Yeah, Please go over and show my mother in law some bloggy love!!!
Photo Fun!
Yesterday afternoon Jax and I went outside for a little photo shoot. He was dressed in his SUPER(man)Saturday jammies! I will post more of the pics later this week. For now…here is one of my favorites! I have not edited them yet, but I found this cool website today. It takes your photos and ages them….REALLY ages them(like 100 yrs)… for FREE!!!
HERE is the link (make sure to click Egnlish in the top right corner, unless you understand Japanese!)! Have fun & Have a wonderful Sunday!
Spring is in the air
For a few days at least! I’ve decided that my blog look was serene and peaceful…but I was getting bored! Maybe that’s why I wasn’t into posting much! So, I’ve decided to change things up a little bit… it’s a work in progress… so stop back by!
You’ll be happy to know that I am scheduling some posts! I have MANY things to blog about now that the bloggy mo-jo is coming back!
